Hey, I'm Richard Blakemore — a Cybersecurity Awareness Specialist based in the UK, and the person behind Be More Cyber.

By day I work in the Cyber Security team at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), running security awareness programmes for 36,000 employees — phishing simulations, awareness campaigns, videos, articles, and anything else that helps people make better security decisions without glazing over.

By night (and early mornings), I'm building Be More Cyber — a cybersecurity consulting and education business aimed at small and medium businesses that need proper security without the enterprise price tag or the jargon. My services cover security audits, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST), and security awareness training tailored to your team.

This site is where I document the journey — the cybersecurity stuff I find interesting, the tech I'm building with, the honest realities of going from corporate employee to independent consultant, and the occasional life update because I'm a human being not just a professional LinkedIn profile.
